CAD Designer

EU Design Consulting, a locally owned boutique firm specializing in structural engineering, heavy civil construction and design/program/construction management for complex projects is seeking a CAD Designer to provide expertise on general Structural Engineering projects of various sizes. The successful candidate will have experience in structural lumber projects, structural steel and concrete construction. Full Time and Part Time applicants will be considered for remote position.

​Essential Duties

  • Prepare CAD drawings and contract documents.

  • Manage drawing files, CAD standards and other digital files as needed.

  • Prepare graphics for engineering reports.

  • Read, understand, interpret existing drawings with mark-ups.

  • Collaborate with engineers and other designers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent practical experience.

  • Degree or certification in drafting or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.

  • Extensive experience in developing contract drawings.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.

  • Experience with software such as Revit and/or SketchUp is preferred.

  • Experience with BIM preferred.

  • Authorized to work in the US.
